Investors traded 346.239 million shares worth N1.658 billion executed in 6,175 deals yesterday at the stock market, indicating an increase of 22 per cent above 284.089 million shares valued at N1.641 billion executed in 6,490 deals last Friday.
However, the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) All-Share Index slid by 0.52 per cent to close lower at 23,048.78 as some blue-chip stocks came under heavy pressure from profit-takers.  Brewing giants, Nigerian Breweries Plc and some bank equities closed lower as investors moved to lock in capital gains.
